This brings us nicely to the subject of costs. Fossil fuels have been big business across the world and there is a huge amount of effort put into getting these products out of the ground. This means that fossil fuels are quite cheap, however they are subject to fluctuating prices. Something you will see on the news each morning when they announce the current price of oil, or everytime you fill up the car and the price at the pumps has gone up again.

Fire wood is plentiful and has been at a steady price for years. In fact this price is likely to remain steady for the foreseeable future.
